Inter Won With Half A Chance - Manninger

that decided tonight's blockbuster between Inter and Juve at San Siro. Zlatan Ibrahimovic took a shot on goal from inside the area that was clearly going wide, but midfielder Sulley Muntari popped up from nowhere to poke the ball home with goalkeeper Alex Manninger appealing in vain for offside.

"I was worried because I saw the shot by Ibrahimovic coming in late, as there were some defenders in front of me," Manninger commented.

"I was relieved to see the shot was going wide, but Muntari came out of nowhere for that tap-in while we all thought he was offside."

That proved the winning goal as Inter took home a crucial 1-0 victory that ended the Bianconeri's seven-match winning streak.

"No team is expected to come to San Siro and beat Inter, but until the goal it was a very balanced game and it could easily have ended in a draw," Manninger added.

"But they found a goal with a tap-in from a half-chance, this is football."

This defeat leaves Juve six points behind Inter, who sit atop the Serie A table.
